Anti-graft drive: Team Anna continues fight, to unroll car rally

Despite criticism from some quarters, Team Anna is not ready to give its crusade against anti-graft. The latest being their plan to hold a car and bike in rally in New Delhi. By organizing such a rally, their message to the Congress-led UPA government is crystal clear: unroll a power Lokpal Bill in the winter session or face the music.
At the centre of controversy is government’s latest Lokpal Bill that has failed to put any impression on the Team Anna. The anti-graft movement spearheaded by Anna Hazare is not satisfied with the government’s bill. They continue to mount pressure on the government.
Spars between government and activists have come to fore. In a talk organized in Kolkata, Team Anna took over union minister Salman Khursheed. The Congress is tackling the situation diligently with the Uttar Pradesh elections round the corner.
The government fears that its tackling of the corruption movement is important. A wrong message may jeopardize its chances in the elections. Team Ann also knows this fact well and thus is demanding for more.
However, some political scientists are not happy with the way Team Anna is pressurizing the government.

They strongly feel that such an act will only undermine democratic values. Unperturbed of such criticism, Team Anna has unleashed a relentless campaign against the government over its weaknesses to handle corruption cases properly.
